Frequently Asked Questions

HIV and STDs

I’ve had an STD, been treated, now what?

If you’ve had a bacterial STD, like gonorrhea, syphilis or Chlamydia, and were treated that’s great but it doesn’t protect you from future infections. We regularly see patients with new STDs that they’ve had before. Condoms are the single best way to protect yourself and others from transmitting/acquiring HIV/STDs.
