PROTECT
ABOUT CONDOMS
Basics:
• Used correctly and consistently, condoms prevent HIV,
Gonorrhea,
Chlamydia,
and Trichomoniasis.
They reduce risk for Syphilis,
HPV,
and Herpes.
• Use lots of water-based lube. It reduces friction and increases
sensitivity.
• Store them in a cool, dark place. Check the expiration date before
opening. Use only fresh rubbers.
Correct Use
Proper
Condom Use Demo
• Be cautious when opening--don’t nick or tear the condom with
your teeth or nails.
• Hold the tip of the condom between your thumb and forefinger. This
“tip” leaves space at the head of the cock for your semen/cum.
• With the other hand, unroll the condom over your dick—down
the shaft.
• While your cock is still erect, hold the condom at the base before
pulling out.
• Roll the condom gently towards the head of the dick and remove.
• Tie the condom in a knot so cum can’t leak out. Throw in the
trash.
If a condom breaks...
• While fucking, pull out and replace it with a new one.
• and cum gets into your butt or vagina, ask a health care provider
about post-exposure
prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV within 72 hours.
Alternatives to latex
Lambskin condoms are not effective in preventing transmission of STDs and
not recommended by the FDA for this use.
Polyurethane
condoms are a good alternative if allergic to latex and are now available
in most stores. While a bit pricier, they’re as effective in preventing
disease and pregnancy. One polyurethane condom, known as the Reality or
Female Condom, is inserted into the ass or vagina before sex or put on
the cock before penetrating. This condom is great for those who don’t
like snug fitting condoms; they generate heat when fucking and allow for
oil based lubes.
